Spice Girls Reunion Rehearsals Have Started – But Mel B is Noticeably Absent

The tour starts in less than 2 months.

With less than two months to go until they perform on stage together, the Spice Girls have hit the rehearsals studios together for the first time – but there was one person missing (and we don’t mean Victoria Beckham).

Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie C were all spotted arriving at a London dance studio on Monday but their band mate Mel B was nowhere to be seen.

After being papped on their way in, two of the ladies posted snaps of their practice session on Instagram, with Emma sharing a picture of herself and five dancers:

Meanwhile, Geri posted a pic of herself looking nervous while sitting on the floor of a rehearsal studio.

She also shared a hashtag in the photo’s caption saying “don’t crack under pressure”.

However, Mel B was not seen at the venue and shared a bikini pic on Instagram instead.

“Today’s look Leopard print everything,” she wrote underneath it.

A representative for the Spice Girls did not comment when contacted by HuffPost UK, but judging from Mel’s recent Instagram updates, she’s currently preparing for the tour in the US.

Emma later addressed her bandmate’s absence from rehearsals during an appearance on This Morning, confirming that she’s in the States.

“Mel B is rehearsing in LA because she’s still got commitments and her children, so she’s rehearsing there, which is really funny,” she said. “She learns the same steps as us… we were doing a bit of FaceTiming.

“We’re doing the same rehearsals, but obviously she’s there. And then she comes over soon. I think she’s coming over in the next few weeks, and then we all work together.”

While the band have bene busy concentrating on their upcoming stadium tour, they hit headlines for unexpected reasons last month when Mel B publicly stated she once once had sex with Geri.

After a brief period of silence, Geri addressed Mel’s comments, and the media reports which followed, by saying they were “disappointing”, “hurtful” and “not true”.

Their 13-date tour starts on Friday May 24 in Dublin.
