‘Strictly Come Dancing’: Professional Dancer Janette Manrara Has A Theory On Why Daisy Lowe Keeps Landing In The Bottom Two

The model has been in two consecutive dance-offs.

We’ve been as surprised as everyone else to see Daisy Lowe in the dreaded ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance-off for the last two weeks, and now professional dancer Janette Manrara has a theory as to why.

Despite impressing the four judges, who have consistently given the British model high scores, Daisy hasn’t proved such a hit with viewers at home.

But Janette, who is engaged to Daisy’s partner Aljaž Škorjanec, thinks the likes of Ed Balls is getting through because he’s more well known, despite having two left feet.

Janette explains: “I find it quite surprising that she was in the bottom two last weekend.

“I think people don’t really know Daisy. The Strictly fan base is such a different fan base from what Daisy normally does.

“I’m hoping after two dance-offs, people will get to know her. I think she’s an incredible dancer and she shouldn’t leave the competition. She’s one of the strongest.”

Hear hear.

Janette’s comments come after head judge Len Goodman said he believed viewers think Daisy is safe, so haven’t been voting for her.

Speaking on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio Two Breakfast Show, Len said: “She is terrific dancer, she has got a lovely personality and she’s such a charming lovely person.

“The only thing I can think of is that when people vote, they see Daisy [and] she’s in fourth place. She’s in a good position, you think, ‘Well, she’s safe’ and they vote for somebody down the line who they hope will come back. And then poor Daisy gets overlooked.”
