We’re still weeks away from the end of the 2016 series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, but bosses have already begun thinking about who they should sign up for next year.
According to reports, Jessica Ennis-Hill, is at the top of their shortlist, following the announcement that she was retiring from athletics after the Rio 2016 Games, with the BBC reportedly hoping she’ll follow in the footsteps of fellow Olympians Greg Rutherford and Claudia Fragapane.
A source tells The Sun: “Jess has been invited to Elstree to see the dancers and chat to some of the current celebs.
“It’s a tried and tested method to invite people down to see what it’s like and get them to sign up.
So far in this series, Greg and Claudia have been a huge hit with fans, outlasting celebrities including Lesley Joseph and Anastacia in the competition.
Gymnast Louis Smith also appeared on the show in 2012, and took home the Glitterball trophy.
