The performers appearing on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing launch show have been confirmed.
In the first episode of the series, viewers are invited to get to know the new celebrities a little better, as well as finding out which of the show’s resident professionals they’ve been partnered up with.
The launch show will also usually feature a group routine, which will see the stars taking to the Strictly dance floor for the first time, ahead of making their debut as couples two weeks later.
In addition to this, viewers will be treated to performances from two guest stars, one of whom will be Kylie Minogue.
Fresh from her exciting summer – which included a performance in the Glastonbury “Legends” slot, a headlining appearance at Brighton Pride and a chart-topping greatest hits album – Kylie will be performing a medley of her hits.
Mark Ronson will also be putting in an appearance, where he and Grammy-winning star Yebba will be providing the music for the group number.
It’s been a big year for Mark, who released his fifth album Late Night Feelings in June, featuring collaborations with Miley Cyrus, King Princess and Lykke Li.
He also won his first Oscar back in February, having co-written A Star Is Born cut Shallow with Lady Gaga.
A start date for the new series of Strictly is yet to be confirmed, but the pre-recorded launch usually takes place in early September.
The 15 stars taking part have all been confirmed, though, including soap stars Catherine Tyldesley and Emma Barton, Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.
It’s a fairly sports-heavy line-up this year, with former footballers, an Olympic rower, a Paralympic table tennis player and BBC Breakfast’s sports anchor also taking part.
