’Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Laura Whitmore has denied reports she has fallen out with friend Georgia May Foote over dance partner Giovanni Pernice.
The pair were at the centre of claims they’d had an “explosive row” on Thursday (29 September), as Georgia had reportedly become upset at seeing pictures of Laura with her ex, Giovanni.
The Sun even claimed the former ‘Coronation Street’ star had unfollowed Laura on Twitter in an attempt to block out photos of her ex.
A source told the paper: “[Georgia] knew they would get close because of the hours they’re putting in during training but Georgia just wanted Laura to stop plastering it across social media because she’s still upset about the split.
However, Laura has since addressed the matter on Twitter, suggesting there has been no fall out, as she tweeted Georgia directly.
She wrote:
Georgia has yet to respond to Laura’s tweet.
She and Giovanni announced they had split in August, following an eight-month relationship that began after they were partnered together in last year’s series.
It is not the first time Laura and Georgia are reported to have been at odds over Giovanni though, as when he was paired up with the former ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here NOW!’ presenter on ‘Strictly’, there were claims Georgia was far from happy about it.
She later took to Twitter to rubbish the reports, writing:
Laura and Giovanni’s ‘Strictly’ journey got off to a solid start last weekend, when they were awarded 25 out 40 for their first dance.
This week, they will be dancing the Waltz to ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ by Alicia Keys in a bid to impress the judges.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Saturday (1 October) at 6.20pm on BBC One.
