Laura Whitmore is the latest star to sign up for this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, according to reports.
The 31-year-old - who is best known for presenting the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ spin-off show on ITV2 - has reportedly been snapped up by show bosses after her friend Caroline Flack won the 2014 series.
After claiming the glitterball trophy, Caroline Flack went on to host the last series of ‘The X Factor’, and Laura hopes the exposure that ‘Strictly’ will bring will do the same for her career.
A source told The Sun: “Laura loves the show and is partial to dance on a night out so Strictly is a great fit.”
Other stars already rumoured to be taking to the ‘Strictly’ dancefloor when the show returns to BBC One this September include daytime TV star Judge Rinder, TV presenter Angelica Bell, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, ‘Downton Abbey’ actress Michelle Dockery and US singer Anastacia.
However, one Strictly’ star won’t be returning for the 14th series.
Professional dancer Gleb Savchenko - who proved to be a huge hit with viewers after joining the show last year - has quit due to ‘family commitments’.
