Bookies may still be accepting bets on who will replace Len Goodman as head judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, but according to this former star of the show, his replacement has already been picked.
Trent Whiddon, who danced with Pixie Lott in the 2014 series, has revealed that apparently, the job will be going to Anton du Beke.
The next series of ‘Strictly’ will be Len’s last, and speaking to the Mirror, Trent says: “It isn’t official yet, but it may as well be – it’s long been virtually guaranteed that Anton will fill any gaps on the judging panel.
He then added: “Anton’s also 50 now, so his dancing is slowing down.”
There’s no word yet on whether he intended for that sentence to sound so catty.
Earlier this month, former ‘Strictly’ judge Alesha Dixon ruled out a return, and called for bosses to make Craig Revel-Horwood head judge, and keep the panel as a trio.
She told the Huffington Post UK: “I think it could work with the three. It works with three in America so why can’t it work here?
“Just have Craig [Revel Horwood] as head judge. I’m not the producer but hey!”
