With the official ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ line-up set to be officially unveiled next month, rumours about who will be getting their dancing shoes this year are continuing to swirl, with Daisy Lowe becoming the latest celeb linked to the show.
The star has reportedly signed up to compete on the new series of the BBC ballroom competition, when it returns to TV in the autumn.
Bosses are apparently hoping she’ll pull in some extra younger viewers, given she has showbiz pals like Nick Grimshaw, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof.
A source told the Daily Star: “Daisy is a great signing – she’s one of the girls of the moment.
Daisy is apparently already in training for the show, which is said to be helping her get over her split from boyfriend, ex-’Pop Idol’ star Darius Campbell.
Last week, Darius’ fellow ‘Pop Idol’ star Will Young was reported to have signed up for the show.
Singer Louise Redknapp, daytime TV star Judge Rinder, presenter Angelica Bell, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, ‘Downton Abbey’ actress Michelle Dockery, TV presenter Laura Whitmore and US singer Anastacia are also said to be getting their dancing shoes on.
There are also changes afoot for the line-up of professional dancers, after Gleb Savchenko followed Ola Jordan, Aliona Viliani, Kristina Rihanoff, and Tristan MacManus by quitting the show.
They will be replaced by three new pros, while Joanne Clifton will also return.
