Lee Ryan has become the second celebrity to be voted off this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Blue singer and his partner Nadiya Bychkova left during Sunday night’s results show, after landing in the dance-off with Charles Venn and his partner Karen Clifton.
Both couples performed their routines for the judges again in the hope of staying in the competition.
Lee and Nadiya did their Cha Cha Cha to ‘The Power Of Love’ from the movie ‘Back To The Future’ for which they scored only 19 points out of 40 on Saturday night, while Charles and Karen performed their American Smooth to ‘Up Where We Belong’ from the movie ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’, which had earned them 25 points.
While the judges noted Lee had performed better the second time around, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli voted to save Charles, sending Lee home.
However, Head Judge Shirley Ballas said she would have voted to keep Lee in the competition.
It was the second time in the dance-off for Lee, after he survived last week at the expense of Susannah Constantine and Anton Du Beke.
When asked by Tess about his time on the show, Lee said: “I’ve had a really lovely time, even though it’s been short it seems like I’ve been here a long time because it’s been so intense, it’s been amazing.
“I love these guys, I absolutely love every single one of them. There’s so much love in everyone it’s been a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life, I really will.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues next Saturday on BBC One.
