'Strictly Come Dancing': Judge Rinder To Replace Ed Balls On Some Arena Tour Dates

Ed is unable to make three dates due to prior commitments.

There’s good news and bad news for those hoping to catch Ed Balls on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tour.

While the MP has signed up to perform in the arena show across the nation next year, there’s unfortunately three dates he’s unable to do.

But Judge Rinder has come to the rescue and has confirmed he will step into Ed’s dancing shoes when he’s unavailable.

The daytime TV judge will take the former Labour MP’s place three Manchester dates, appearing as a special guest.

Speaking of his return to the dancefloor, Judge Rinder said: “I’m delighted to be joining the ‘Strictly’ tour in Manchester and I’m particularly excited to be performing in such an enormous arena.

“I can’t wait to share my love of dance in such an amazing city.”

Judge Rinder and his partner Oksana Platero were voted off the show in the quarter final, while Ed’s time in the competition came to an end the previous week.

Both stars will be back on the floor for a special group performance during this weekend’s final, where Danny Mac, Louise Redknapp and Ore Oduba will be battling it out to be this year’s champion.

The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ final airs on Saturday (17 December) at 6.50pm on BBC One.
