When we first met Malia Obama, she was a little kid wearing pink barrettes and patent leather Mary Janes. But since she first hit the White House, the girl has grown up. Now, she is arguably as much of a style icon as her mama ― and with a birthday on Independence Day, she gave many Twitter users something extra to celebrate Tuesday.
In fact, there seemed to be a tongue-in-cheek movement to temporarily rebrand the Fourth of July as Malia Obama Day.
What’s not to love? The 19-year-old beauty is headed to Harvard University in the fall, but has filled her post-White House time with killer internship outfits, a Dakota Access Pipeline protest, and a nice vacation.
