Susanna Reid has insisted she’s doing “fine” after being forced to address her recent break-up live on Good Morning Britain.
And we probably don’t even need to tell you who was the one giving her such a grilling over her personal life live on air…
Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that Susanna and football club owner Steve Parish had called time on their relationship, six months after going public with their romance.
Returning from his holiday, there was only one thing that Piers Morgan wanted to talk about on Monday’s GMB.
“Are you single again?” he asked his co-host, prompting a simple “mhmm… yeah” as a response.
Clearly hoping to move on from the issue, Susanna continued: “Let’s not dwell. I’m fine. We’re fine. We’re very good friends. We were at the match on Saturday… we remain friends.”
Piers then pointed out the coincidence that she confirmed the break-up on the day he gets back from holiday, prompting this reaction:
Susanna and Steve were first rumoured to be in a relationship towards the end of last year, when they were photographed attending a Crystal Palace match together.
The TV presenter had recently spoken about how she felt ready to find love again, four years on from her break-up with ex-husband Dominic Cotton, the father of her three children.
She declared she was “back in the game”, adding: “I’m definitely open to dating again. This is the right time.
“The great thing about what’s happened in 2018, and everyone will have seen it on Love Island, is you don’t have to date exclusively any more.”
Good Morning Britain airs every weekday from 6am on ITV.
