An Indian air force strike on 26 February on a suspected militant training camp in Pakistan has flared up tensions between the two nuclear powers. The next day, Pakistan and India exchanged fire along their contested border in Kashmir. Despite this, both countries have said they do not want the conflict to escalate beyond this.
