Rihanna has cancelled her planned concert in Nice tonight (15 July), following the terror attack that has left over 80 people dead.
The ‘Diamonds’ singer had arrived in the Riviera city on Thursday ahead of her performance, but her representatives have confirmed to Just Jared she is “safe” following the atrocity.
She was due to play the Allianz stadium tonight as part of her Anti World Tour, put has now pulled the gig.
The attacks saw a lorry plough through a crowd on the Promenade des Anglais, as people celebrated Bastille Day.
Many of the victims are children, while more than 50 have also been injured.
The vehicle travelled at speed for over a mile through the crowd, with people desperately trying to flee its path.
Reports claim the driver also opened fire before police shot him dead.
Stars including Simon Cowell, Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian have all paid tribute to the victims of the attacks on social media, echoing the sentiments of millions around the globe.
The attack on France’s national holiday rocked a nation still dealing with the shock of the attacks last November in Paris that killed 130.
It has since been confirmed the country’s national state of emergency, which was due to end on 26 July following the Paris attacks, has now been extended by three months.
