In one week, South Africa lost world-renowned jazz musician and Hugh Masekela and veteran actor, Sandy Mokwena.

That said, the people of Mzansi are known for their ability to find humour even in challenging situations and, thanks to social media, we continue to live up to that label.

Following Masekela's death, soccer legend Mark Fish took to Twitter to thank the late Masekela for his contribution to South Africa's music and the political scene, but things went from 100 to zero real quick.

Fish was joining South Africans in paying tribute to Masekela, a world-renowned jazz musician.

There was, however, a tiny problem -- he used a picture of the wrong legend, Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, instead of Masekela.

Mabuse himself soon confirmed on the app that he was alive and well.

Fish deleted the picture and apologised for the error but people would not let him get off that easily.

In came the #MarkFishChallenge.

In true Twitter style, people started tweeting about, well, see for yourself:

Even Mabuse himself, a good friend of Masekela's, was grateful for the humour.

And so did Fish. He's retweeted some of the tweets from the challenge.

But also, y'all play too much, way too much.
