It’s been a year of mayhem, but in the midst of the madness came a blazing ball of joy in the long-awaited arrival of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK to BBC Three.
Ru was joined by bestie Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, Graham Norton and a bevy of guest stars – from Andrew Garfield to Jade ‘Little Mix’ Thirlwall – to judge the most characterful lineup of queens the show has seen in its 10 year history.
After eight weeks of filthy-fabulous language and fiercely-fought challenges, Scouse star The Vivienne sashayed her way to the crown and sceptre, becoming the show’s first homegrown winner.
We’ll have to wait till mid-2020 for season two, but if you or a pal are already missing the queens from your screens, don’t feel Blu – there’s plenty of merch from glam to Gothy (because different Strokes for different folks, right?).
Let’s be Crystal clear: the Viv has teamed up with Binge on a range of tops and trinkets – while the rest of the queens are flogging a Baga treats on the official merch store. We have our eyes on this Frock Destroyers sweatshirt, for starters.
