Well that's unfortunate.

Fans of The Chase were left squinting their eyes at the name board after a certain contestant appeared on the show this week.

Due to a combination of the font used and some very unfortunate spacing, some viewers of the ITV quiz show thought Clint was called something else entirely,

Any guesses…?

This week saw The Chase welcome a brand new Chaser into the fold, with the introduction of Darragh “The Menace” Ennis.

The 40-year-old Oxford-based scientist who hails from Dublin will be fitting in his new TV commitments around his day job.

He is the sixth Chaser to appear on the ITV show, joining formidable quizzing pros Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty and Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha.

Regular viewers of the show will remember him as a former contestant. He first took on Paul Sinha on The Chase in 2017, scooping an impressive £9,000 for his team, who later all took minus offers from the Chaser, meaning his overall total was depleted.

The episode caused a stir online, with #JusticeForDarragh trending on Twitter after it aired.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
