Government Misspells 'Integration' In Response To Call For Better English Language Skills

Today a major review into integration between communities in the United Kingdom concluded, among other things, that the government should do more to promote the English language.

Or should that be “intergration”.

In its response the the report carried out by Dame Louise Casey, the Department for Communities and Local Government managed to trip itself up.

Earlier this year, then-prime minister David Cameron announced tough new immigration rules that would see migrants deported if they were unable to show they were improving their English language skills.

The Home Office, then under the direction of Theresa May, misspelt the word “language” in the press release.
