12 baby Donalds were born in the UK last year – unsurprising, perhaps, given that recent polls showed just 21% of British people had a favourable impression of the current US president.
50 Jeremys were named in 2018 – but it’s unknown whether this relates to Hunt or Corbyn... or neither.
And there were 44 baby Nicolas, too, just like SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon.
It’s bad news for Chuka Umunna – the former Labour MP-turned-Liberal Democrat spokesperson for International Development was not the inspiration for any babies at all. Last year, there were no little Chukas on the official list.
