When we think of Laura Ashley, floral wallpaper and being dressed up to match our siblings in the 80s.
It’s probably not your first port of call for fashion nowadays, but thanks to an unexpected collaboration with Urban Outfitters (and a revival of 1970s fashion), its famous florals are set to become a big part in our summer wardrobes.
Launching in stores and online on the 7 May, the 11-piece collection features floaty dresses, vintage prints on ruffle blouses, and cherub-print co-ords, in organza, cotton and poplin. Think hopeless romantic.
With prices starting from £28, available in sizes 6 to 16, within the new range you’ll find a dreamy wedding guest wardrobe, flirty mini dresses for your city break (or mini moon), mixed with more casual pieces like floral shorts that can be worn with strappy sandals for an off-duty look.

The Maisy Dress, £45
This mini number will be particularly flattering for petite frames. A high neck will elongate your silhouette and the puff sleeves will add volume without overpowering a smaller figure. Pair with colourful barely there sandals and a bright lip.
The Lucille Blouse, £32
This cropped blouse may seem intimidating if you’ve no intention of showing off your midriff. However, when worn with a high waisted satin slip skirt or denim jeans you can pull together a formalwear piece with two everyday separates.
The cycling shorts trend shows no sign of slowing down, so dip you toes into the form-fitting style with this colour pair. Team with the match blouse for a co-ord that’ll compliment hot weather or wear under a tunic dress for a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it dash of florals.
The Georgia Dress, £89
Perfect for the fast approaching wedding season, this romantic midi can be worn with the sleeves draped off the shoulder, or resting on the shoulders for an 80s vibe.
The Winona Blouse, £34
This cherub-print blouse is our new go-to for the jeans-and-a-nice-top outfit. Pair with white culottes if you want to make it feel more formal or wear with your favourite blue jeans and mules for weekend plans.
The Penelope Dress, £45
Putting the babydoll style back in our closets, this thigh-skimming pink number is perfect for sunny days at the beach. If the weather is a little chilly, layer over a pair of jeans to added warmth.
The Mara Top, £48
The second of two co-ords in the collection, this pretty pink style is our favourite. If you don’t fancy a matching look with the accompanying shorts, try a khaki green or white pair instead.
The Mara Shorts, £28
Forget your blue denim shorts, opt for a floral pair instead. If you don’t fancy wearing a co-ord, style with a crisp white shirt and tan sandals.
This irresistibly feminine one-piece matches two floral prints. We love the cut-out (just remember the suncream on your tum) and adjustable ruched sides mean you can tweak it to suit your taste.
Tulip Bikini Top, £30.00, And Bottoms, £26.00
Mix and match this classic bikini in iconic Laura Ashley print. We love that it’s sold separately - so you can get sizes that actually fit your body. The top has adjustable shoulder straps and a clasp closure.
