'The Voice' UK: Boy George Rules Himself Out Of New ITV Series

Will.i.am is back on the panel, though.

Boy George has ruled himself out of the new series of 'The Voice' on ITV.

The singer confirmed he will not return for a second season of the talent show, when it relaunches on the BBC's rival broadcaster next year.

The Culture Club star joined 'The Voice' alongside Paloma Faith, Ricky Wilson and Will.i.am for the fourth series earlier this year, as a replacement for Tom Jones.

Black Eyed Peas singer Will has already announced he will still be on the panel next year, stating: "I’m delighted to be continuing ‘The Voice UK’ on ITV and being a voice of direction and guidance for the usual suspects, and I’m thrilled to add 'The Voice Kids' to the mix.

"I know ‘The Voice’ switched to ITV, but I’m not going to BREXIT 'The Voice UK'. I’m happy to make ITV my home now. I love the UK."

Emma Willis will also return as the show's host, but co-presenter Marvin Humes has been dropped for the new series.

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky has also confirmed he will not be taking up his spinning seat once again.

ITV poached 'The Voice' from the BBC last year, following a fierce bidding war.

It has previously been rumoured the broadcaster is hoping to secure original judge Tom Jones, who was controversially axed by the BBC last year.

Other names rumoured to be joining Will on the line-up have included Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Phil Collins and Jennifer Hudson.

'The Voice' returns to ITV next year.
