As Boris Johnson made his first statement in parliament as the UK’s new prime minister, Theresa May relaxed at the cricket.
The former PM, who left Downing Street yesterday after three years in power, was photographed enjoying herself watching England vs Ireland at Lord’s.
May was joined by former justice secretary David Gauke and former business secretary Greg Clark.
Both men left the cabinet yesterday as Johnson knocked several senior Tories for six while assembling his new government.
May, a big cricket fan, was also accompanied by her old Downing Street chief of staff Gavin Barwell.
Earlier this month, before she stepped down, May hosted the England cricket team in Downing Street after it won the cricket World Cup.
May also once famously compared herself to Geoffrey Boycott the former English cricketer while trying to get her Brexit deal through the Commons.
May said last year that Boycott always “got the runs in the end” and so would she.
