Rylan Clark-Neal and his husband Dan won praise from ‘This Morning’ viewers on Friday (8 July), as they made history by becoming the first ever gay couple to present the show.
The pair took the helm of the ITV daytime programme in place of regular Friday hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, who are currently on holiday ahead of their summer stint filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Rylan and Dan introduced a jam-packed show, including a segment on martial MOTs and an interview with ‘X Factor’ couple Chloe-Jasmine Whichello and Stevi Ritchie.
But they kicked things off with a tribute to the Spice Girls, with Rylan beside himself at the news the girlband are planning to reunite to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Fans of the long-running show, which has a long-history of being hosted by married couples dating back to when Richard and Judy launched it in 1988, couldn’t get enough of the pair:
After the show, Rylan was beaming with pride for his husband:
Similarly, Dan praised Rylan’s skills as a presenter, claiming he makes it look easy:
They also shared their thoughts on how the episode went in a special video posted on Twitter:
