Tiger Lily Hutchence, the daughter of the late Michael Hutchence and Paula Yates, has made her modelling debut.
The 20-year-old, full name Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, is the new face of sustainable fashion brand House of Khadi.
Hutchence has previously kept a low-profile in the press, but the photoshoot and video campaign (below) marks her first official appearance in the public eye.
The London label has set up a Kickstarter page with an aim of raising £10,000 in order to produce five shirt designs and cover delivery to the UK.
The brand’s shirts will be ethically produced in a Fairtrade-registered factory in Southern India and crafted from 100% ‘Khadi’ cotton grown nearby to the factory.
Khadi is a Sanskrit translation of cotton and means ‘hand-spun’ and ‘hand-woven’.
House of Khadi founders Rima Sams and Lily Gutierrez say their aim is to sell and market “slow fashion” shirts to luxury outlets and shops at beach resorts around the world.
The shirts have a 15 count double thread construction, which gives increased breathability and helps regulate body temperature.
