Hocus Focus
The importance of setting goals and intentions for yourself can't be overlooked when it comes to creating a life that you love. Spend some time thinking about the different areas of your life and how you want them to look, if you find it hard to get clear then sit down with a friend and spend the evening setting goals together. A vision board is a great way of externalising what is important for you.
Action: Plan a time to sit down and set some clear goals for yourself,
Take daily steps to create the life you want
One of my favourite sayings is "the lifestyle you have is the result of the lifestyle you live". Once you have an idea of how you want things in your life to look, create daily habits and steps that support that vision. For example, If you want to improve your physical fitness then you need to create daily habits that are supportive of that.
If you have a goal in your career then spend some time studying and improving your skill set. Before you know if, your life will start taking shape the way you want.
Action: Start planning daily actions that you can take to support your goals. Book them into your diary like an appointment
Choose actions over emotions
One of the best ways to reduce anxiety is to take action despite how you are feeling. Instead of waiting to feel more confident or ready decide to just accept those feelings (don't fight them) and take the appropriate action.
One way people sabotage themselves is by not taking action and then letting the situation build up to the point where it seems overwhelming. Instead of making anxiety important, just decide to take action anyway.
Action: Identify which steps you can take right now to move you closer to where you want to be
Manage your money
Money can be a huge source of anxiety if not managed properly. Get clear on where you are financially and where you can save or invest money to ensure a better future.
After you've paid your rent and bills, there may be times when a little extra help is needed. Of course, being sensible with your money and living within your means is the key but for times when a little help is needed you can get a short term loan to bridge the gap before payday. When appropriate, a short terrn loan can help you manage your money better and relieve stress.
Action: Get clear on how you can be more sensible with your money. Look for things you are paying for but don't use etc.
