Tottenham Bus Crash Leads To 26 People Being Injured After Double-Decker Hits Railway Bridge

Five people have been taken to hospital and 21 others were treated for injuries after a double-decker bus crashed into a railway bridge in Tottenham, in London, on Saturday morning.

Two fire engines, a fire rescue unit and 15 firefighters attended the scene on St Lays Road shortly after 4am.

The London Fire Brigade said that crews released three people who were trapped on the upper deck of the bus.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated 21 people at the scene and five were taken to hospital.

The injuries of those taken to hospital are not thought to be life threatening.

The Metropolitan Police and Network Rail also attended the scene.

The incident was over at 5.44am, the London Fire Brigade said.
