Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) explained how Donald Trump is “no question” the leader of the Republican Party with a wild example of lawmakers’ unwavering loyalty to the president-elect on Wednesday.

“So now he’s got a mission statement. His mission, his goals and objectives, whatever that is — we need to embrace it. All of it, every single word,” Nehls told Capitol Hill reporters in a clip that aired on MSNBC.

“If Donald Trump says, ‘Jump three feet high and scratch your head,’ we all jump three feet high and scratch our heads. That’s it.”

Nehls, who once tried to distance himself from Trump while running for Congress, has stressed his loyalty to the president-elect since he scolded Capitol rioters amid the deadly Jan. 6, 2021 attack.

He’s compared Trump’s crowd sizes to those for the pope, has pushed efforts to rename a D.C.-area airport in honor of Trump and has rocked clothing bearing the president-elect’s face and likeness.

Social media users mocked Nehls including several critics who likened the example to a “CULT.”

"EVERY. SINGLE. WORD.... If he says jump 3ft high and scratch your head, we all jump 3ft high and scratch our heads."CULT.

I haven't seen totalitarian politics articulated quite so clearly before. I don't care if a majority wants totalitarianism. The majority is wrong. https://t.co/I8MrAnMD7k

This is un-American. It's cowardly. And considering that the man he's speaking of is Donald Trump, it's insane. https://t.co/ZA7Pmr1wnC
