Trump Has A Mixed Welcome To The UK

US President Donald Trump has had a mixed reaction to his visit to the UK. Moments before Trump landed he tweeted some insults for London mayor Sadiq Khan. Amnesty International rolled out banners on Vauxhall bridge calling for people to “Resist Trump”. However on the Royal side things seemed to go to plan, with the Trumps received with a formal ceremony at Buckingham Palace and an inspection of the honour guard. Trump is in the UK for D-Day commemorations and will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May at 10 Downing Street on Tuesday, although he won’t hold a private meeting with the PM.
