If there’s one thing we all know when it comes to kids, their imaginations are off-the-charts wild.
When they’re not talking at great length about what they got up to in their past lives, they’re discussing the creepy AF people they see in their bedrooms (who to the rest of us mere mortals, don’t appear to be there).
In short, kids can be a little bit – if not a lot – spooky sometimes. Here are just a handful of tweets that prove this.
And if you can read past the Lullaby Lady, you’re doing really well.

yesterday kiddo woke up from his nap crying, then fell asleep on me while we rocked on his chair. when he woke up again he said "count the mommies," first pointed to the corner in the dark, said "one!" and then at me and said "two!" so that's been on my mind a bit

Help we are eating lunch in my parents house where we are staying for the week and my 2yo just cheerily said “there’s ghosts in this house” out of NOWHERE.

9: Can I sleep with you?
— Barlow Adams (@BarlowAdams) February 29, 2020
Me: Why?
9: Had a dream about the Lullaby Lady.
M: Who?
9: An old woman with no skin on her hands.
M: Why do you call her that?
9: Because she stands next to your bed and hums while you sleep.
M: Sure, just let Daddy put the house up for sale real quick.

My 2yo started talking about a ghost a while ago. Mostly it seems to be an imaginary friend. She plays hide & seek w/ it, talks to it, plays catch w/ it (throws a ball at nothing).

Then one day hubs asked if she wanted to hug it, to which she said: "No! It burn all the toys."😬

When my toddler is about to fall asleep he sings quietly to himself. It’s like 35% cute and 65% creepy as fuck.

When my 4yo wants to wake me up in the middle of the night, he rubs the edge of my bed and then stands completely quiet until I notice him, like a very small and polite ghost.

“Dada?”
Yes, Asa.
“Bees cry a lot when they die.”
…okay.

“Pretend I’m your love & I’m finally back. You haven’t seen me in ages & you want to marry me but it’s too late, I’m old & I’m about to die. Pretend I tell you you can marry my ghost, but you don’t want to, okay? Now cry.” — my 4yo, inches from my face, moments after waking me up

At lunch and my toddler just looked out the window and told me it's going to get dark soon. It's 11:45 AM. I told her it's the middle of the day and she said, "the lights are coming. Beautiful lights. Don't look at them, Mom."

So anyways, get ready everyone. The end is nigh.

When I was a toddler I babbled to my parents about “the angels” visiting me at night. One night they finally discovered the neighborhood cats would come in my open bedroom window to play with me in my crib.

The toddler was babbling angrily and then I realized she was saying "that mean woman tried to hurt my arm" and I said what mean woman AND SHE POINTED AT AN EMPTY CORNER AND THEN SAID "she went into the other room now" so I smudged the whole house
