The winner of PETA’s ‘Best Dressed Vegan in the UK’ competition has been revealed.
The animal rights organisation trawled through fashion blogs, scoured social media posts and launched a web search inviting style-conscious vegans to show off their cruelty-free outfits.
After an extensive search, on Monday 15 August PETA crowned London blogger Sruti Sethuraman, of Love and Blossoms, as the winner for her “impressive array of sophisticated outfits” - all completely free of animal-derived materials.
Speaking to The Huffington Post UK, the blogger said she hopes to inspire others to make animal-friendly choices when it comes to buying clothes, and will soon be launching her own vegan fashion line.
“I like to shop in Zara, H&M and ASOS, as they have a lot of faux-leather shoes and vegan-friendly clothing, making it easy to find stylish looks,” she said.
“I love the brand Faithfull for holiday-inspired fashion and Missguided is my favourite for dresses. I also really admire Beyond Skin and Stella McCartney, for her gorgeous bags.”
