Vernon Kay was forced to pull out of presenting Monday night’s edition of ‘The One Show’, following new claims that he has been exchanging text messages with a glamour model.
The radio DJ and TV presenter is facing allegations that he is in contact with Rhian Sugden again, the same woman he was caught sexting back in 2010.
The ‘Family Fortunes’ host reportedly pulled out of his hosting duties on the BBC One show at the last minute to hold crisis talks with his wife, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ presenter, Tess Daly.
Tess is said to ‘furious and devastated’ at reports that Vernon has been in contact with the Page 3 model again.
A source told The Sun: “She can’t believe he has allowed Rhian to become a factor in their marriage again.
However, the 41-year-old insists there was no “inappropriate intent” to his communications with the model, and adds that his wife has been aware of the exchanges this time around in a Facebook message posted on Monday evening.
The message read: “Regarding today’s story: I was contacted by Rhian out of the blue back in December regarding the story in 2010 claiming she had information she wanted to pass on.
“I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication, I was merely trying to find answers to questions that I’ve had since 2010.
“Tess is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian.”
