Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder After Two Men Shot Dead At Manchester Street Party

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two men died in a shooting at a street party in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police said that officers investigating the deaths in Moss Side had arrested a 32-year-old woman from the Birmingham area on Thursday.

She was was arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder, the force said, and remains in custody for questioning.

Police were called to reports that gun shots had been heard on Caythorpe Street at around 12.55am on June 21.

A short time later, police were made aware that two men had arrived at hospital with gunshot wounds.

“Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, 36-year-old Abayomi Ajose and 21-year-old Cheriff Tall sadly died,” GMP said in a statement.
