A Reddit user who has two vaginas has opened up about what it's like to live with the condition in a brilliantly honest thread.
The woman, known only as user nurseryRN, introduced the thread by saying: "I am in my 20s. I found out I had two uteri, two cervices, and two vaginas when I was 16 years old. I've been told I can get pregnant in either uterus. AMA [ask me anything]."
Since then, thousands of people have posted questions for her on the verified thread.
The woman, who has had surgery 18 times, has bravely explained aspects of the condition including how she has sex, how her periods work and what would happen if she became pregnant.
According to doctors at Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies, the condition the woman is discussing is medically known as Uterus Didelphys. It’s exact cause is unknown, but it is generally present from birth, though often only becomes noticeable after puberty.
While the woman originally set up the thread three years ago, it's been trending again this week which just goes to show how powerful her story is.
