'X Factor' Viewers Outraged As Honey G And Bradley & Ottavio Make Live Shows

Judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are under fire.

X Factor’ viewers are outraged after Bradley & Ottavio and Honey G both made it through to the live shows.

Fans of the ITV talent show saw both acts earn a spot in the final 12 after impressing their respective mentors during this weekend’s tense Judges’ Houses episodes.

And while novelty acts are nothing new where ‘The X Factor’ is concerned, that hasn’t stopped an outpouring of indignation from fans on Twitter.

honey g and ottavio & bradley making it to the liveshows is the same thing as trump getting this far in the US election #XFactor

I think all three of the judges so far have made big mistakes. Especially Louis and Sharon with the 'novelty' acts. #XFactor

The thing is, I'd get it if Honey G - or even Bratavio - were entertaining. But they're not. I go and make a cup of tea when they're on.

Dear @TheXFactor @SimonCowell Ottavio & Bradley and now Honey G! Sorry but you've become a joke of a show, I'm switching off for good, bye 👋

Is this the talent the UK has to offer? Otavio and Bradley and Honey Flipping G!!! #JudgesHouses

— Mr O aka Piano Man™ (@platinummind) October 2, 2016

Honey G and Bradley & Ottavio - yeah, that's going to bring the ratings back to the #xfactor

— (((Alex Hughes))) (@achughes16) October 2, 2016

Many have claimed both of them have robbed places from, how shall we put this, more musically gifted acts.

Bradley & Octavio and Honey G are not going to sell records. Such a waste sending talented people home. #XFactor

— Kerry Katona (@KerryKatona7) October 2, 2016

Honey G and Bradley and Ottavia have both got through at the expense of other talented acts. Absolute bullshit 😠 #XFactor

— Greg Lee (@greglee91) October 2, 2016

#xfactor continues to amaze me. Honey G is through and brilliant singers are sent home! The show continues to lose it

— Darren Ruback (@Darren_Ruback) October 2, 2016

Someone's actually had their dreams ruined for acts like Honey G and Ottavio and Bradley. #XFactor

— Charlotte Jenkins (@CharlJenkins95) October 2, 2016

Imagine being genuinely talented and then a judge choosing Ottavio and Bradley or Honey G over you....#xfactor

— Charlotte (@Charlotte_Rule) October 2, 2016

Really Bradley and Ottavio and Honey G made it trough but 4 of diamonds and Samantha didn't? It's a joke. #XFactor2016 #xfactoruk

— Rorro Pirrorro (@Mosoils) October 2, 2016

However, there were some viewers who defended the decision:

The people complaining about Honey G and Ottavio & Bradley have clearly forgotten how dull the early live rounds can be. #XFactor

— Ian Hyland (@HylandIan) October 2, 2016

The X Factor is an entertainment show... They want everybody to talk about it. Honey G got everybody talking & so they've succeeded...

— Emily Atkins (@EmilyAtkins_) October 2, 2016

13 series later, people still act like X Factor isn't an entertainment show that producers carefully cast to carry 2 months of live shows.

— Ryan Love (@RyanJL) October 2, 2016

@TheCheekyMissB X Factor has been like this though for years. It's an 'entertainment' programme foremost. A bit like BB... #sillynonsense

— Jane Staiano (@JaneStaiano) October 2, 2016

Tbf, the X Factor has never been about finding the next Mariah or Celine, or whatever. It genuinely is just an entertainment show.

— Josh (@JoshuaSpeers) October 2, 2016

Honey G was selected for Sharon Osbourne’s Over 25’s category alongside Saara Aalto and Relley C, making it through over Samantha Atkinson, James Wilson, Christopher Peyton and Janet Grogan.

Meanwhile, Louis Walsh put Bradley and Ottavio - now named Bratavio - along with 5 After Midnight and The Brooks.

It meant Skarl3t, 4 Of Diamonds, Tom and Laura and Yes Lad all missed out on a place in the live shows.

The final 12 contestants will take to the ‘X Factor’ stage for the first time on Saturday (8 October) when the live shows kick off.

‘The X Factor’ airs on Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
