Nicole Scherzinger is not a talent show judge to be messed with, as one ‘Xtra Factor’ caller found out for themselves on Sunday (13 November) night.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer seriously lost her cool with one fan of the show, when they called into the ITV2 spin-off to slate her contestant Ryan Lawrie.
Michelle from Harlow called the singer’s potential into question, after he landed in the bottom two alongside eventual evictee Sam Lavery.
Speaking to Louis Walsh, she pressed: “Last night we saw Ryan perform in a pub for about 10 people. Is that going to be the same amount of records he’ll sell if he ever releases an album?”
Her question immediately drew gasps from hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson, before Louis could be heard telling her she was being “very unfair”’.
It was at this point Nicole piped up, and raged: “Excuse me what did she just say. Why are you even on this show? What sort of question is that?
“It’s not very nice,” she added.
Louis then went on to add: “He has a talent and he is a great, great worker and he keeps bouncing back.”
Ryan narrowly escaped elimination during Sunday night’s results show, after the judges were split on who should be sent home and the vote was taken to Deadlock.
After only Nicole and Louis opted to keep Ryan in the competition, the earlier public vote was referred to, and revealed Sam had received the fewest votes and would be sent home.
‘The X Factor’ continues with Movie Week, airing next Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
