'X Factor' 2016: Rylan Clark-Neal And Matt Edmonson Are Going To Be Gold On 'Xtra Factor', And Here's The Proof

They're certainly an improvement on Rochelle and Melvin.

We were already excited about the new series of ‘The Xtra Factor’, following the announcement Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmonson would be taking the reigns from Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom, but then we saw the first trailer for the ITV2 spin-off show.

It really is quite something. And we mean that in a good way.

In a first look at this year’s series, the brand new presenting duo donned their best wigs and outfits for a trip down ‘X Factor’ memory lane.

The pair step into the (broken) heels of Alexandra Burke, Jedward, JLS and even Little Mix to perform spoof versions of some of their most famous videos.

And if that wasn’t enough, the lads have also taken off Rylan’s most infamous ‘X Factor’ moment from when he was a contestant on the show in 2012 - his Judges Houses meltdown.

They roped in returning judge Nicole Scherzinger to reenact the scene, which this time sees Rylan burst into hysterical tears when he’s told he has been chosen as the new host of ‘The Xtra Factor’.

Aside from the presenting line-up, this year’s series of the ‘X Factor’ spin-off show will also see other major changes, as it will be going live from the very first episode.

Fans will have the chance to react as each new episode airs, as Rylan and Matt are joined by contestants, celebrity guests and a live studio audience to dissect the show.

‘The Xtra Factor’ returns to ITV2 later this month.
