When you are on your journey of personal development or entrepreneurship things can sometimes get a little busy. So here are 10 ways to avoid overwhelm, find your flow and enjoy the journey.

When you are on your journey of personal development or entrepreneurship things can sometimes get a little busy. So here are ten ways to avoid overwhelm, find your flow and enjoy the journey.

1. Listen to your intuition and body and not the opinions of others

You are the expert of you. Rather than listening to the opinions of others, their limitations, opinions and advice. Listen, appreciate and incorporate that into the bigger picture so that you can make more informed decisions. Include your intuition and what your body is telling you. You know what works for you and what doesn't.

2. Do more of what you love and less of what doesn't serve you

You will already know the things that feel good and the things that don't. You will know what helps and what hinders you. As simple as it sounds doing more of what you love and less of what doesn't serve you makes a huge difference and you will feel more flow.

3. Create space often- slow down to speed up, gain clarity and inspiration

The best ideas come to us when we create space. Instead of being in a constant state of doing and action, create space often to process, ponder and get inspired into action.

4. Do three things everyday towards your goal throw away that to-do list

Instead of having a constantly growing to-do list that you keep adding things to, which then keeps you busy, stressed and unfulfilled. Get clear on what you really want to achieve and each day make a commitment to take three actions towards that goal. You may find you can build on this but remember not to fill all your time up with doing.

5. Give yourself a break - learn as you go and adjust

When things don't go according to plan instead of going down the thinking route of beating yourself up. Ask what did I learn? Wipe the slate clean and keep moving forwards. Doubting, punishing and questioning yourself isn't going to help and can quickly descend into a place of no action at all. Focus on presence, gratitude and ask yourself...What are the gifts in this experience?

6. Develop a great morning routine - gratitude and appreciation

The way to create an amazing day everyday, build resilience and start off on the right foot is to practice a morning routine. Write you intentions for your morning routine the night before so that those are the first things that you wake up to.

Some things that you can practice are -

Gratitude - write down ten things a day that you are great full for

Energy - do some morning exercise

Presence - listen to a relaxation audio

Connection to self - create space for you - watch a video or training, read a chapter of a uplifting book.

7. Spend time outside - switch off mobile devices

Spend time in nature noticing all of the amazing things around you. Breathe the air, notice the textures of trees, how amazing insects are, just be still in the outside world and see what happens.

8. Appreciate and celebrate how far you have come - celebrate your little wins

Instead of focusing on not being where you want to be yet. Look back now and then to celebrate how far you have come. Tell your story to inspire others even if you are not sure you have a story others will want to hear. You may be surprised. Celebrate the little wins that you have made and appreciate and celebrate the big wins too. Know that you are always exactly where you need to be.

9. Journal daily

A journal is a great place to write and create clarity. It's where we can gain understanding and re-frame experiences. It's also where we get to create the future. It's where we get to choose our story as we want it to be. It's where you can ask the universe for help and track and appreciate receiving the things that show up for you.

10. Surround yourself with your tribe

We are the average of the five people we surround ourselves with so go find your tribe. When you spend time in the company of people who just get it and inspire you by their actions, perspectives and general being this is flow. Get clear on who these people are and seek them out. Attend events, join groups and build supportive circles.
