About Aidan Turner
Aidan Turner is an Irish actor most famous for his role on BBC One drama 'Poldark'. He rose to fame after starring on vampire series 'Being Human', playing the character of John Mitchell from 2009 to 2011. The role brought him to the attention of 'Lord Of The Rings' director Peter Jackson, who cast him in 'The Hobbit' trilogy as dwarf KÃli. In 2015, he landed his biggest role to date when he was cast as Ross Poldark in a reboot of 1970s period drama 'Poldark'. Aidan attracted rather a lot of attention for one of his scenes where he appeared topless while scything a field. He later appeared in an new adaptation of Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None', and most recently he's one of the names rumoured to be replacing Daniel Craig as the next James Bond. Aidan will be back on screen on season two of 'Poldark' in autumn 2016.
