"This sounds desperate," one commenter wrote of Trump's town hall remark.
The former president was roasted over his weird tangent with Fox News' Sean Hannity.
It's the ironic backing no-one asked for.
"They’re very nasty. I think a lot of people are going to be watching to see how nasty they are,” the former president said.
The former president clearly does not like being called "weird."
