The Duke of Sussex spent time in a de-mining field outside Dirico, Angola, with the HALO Trust, which has worked to clear Angola of mines following its civil war. In 1997, his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, had also donned protective gear as she visited another area with the charity. Prince Harry is on a 10-day, multi-country trip tour of Africa along with the Duchess of Sussex and their child Archie.
Prince Harry took aim at climate-change deniers during a visit to Botswana’s Chobe River, saying, “no one can deny science. Otherwise we live in a very, very troubling world.” He is currently on an official trip to southern Africa with his family.
The Duchess of Sussex denounced gender-based violence as she and Prince Harry began their royal trip in Cape Town.
Prince Harry was asked about his use of private jets at the launch of an initiative to make travel more sustainable. Speaking from Amsterdam, the Duke of Sussex explained that “99% of the time” he travels on commercial flights, and offsets his carbon footprint. He said he only uses private jets when necessary for the safety of his family.

The Instagram page for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has followed fifteen new accounts named as “forces for change”, echoing the ethos of Meghan’s recent Vogue issue. Last month, Meghan and Harry asked followers of @SussexRoyal to nominate inspiring people and charities. The Duke and Duchess have said that they hope to showcase the work of “those persevering at a grassroots level” with the new follows.
The Sun newspaper reported that people living near Harry and Meghan’s home on the Windsor estate were warned not to approach or talk to the couple.
The cost of renovating the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new home was £2.4 million ($3.06 million), according to royal accounts. The money was taken from the annual taxpayer-funded allowance to the royal family. Frogmore Cottage, which was previously five separate residences, has been turned into a single home for the newlywed couple.
