David Gomoh, 24, was stabbed to death in Newham just days before the funeral of his father, who died of a coronavirus-related illness.
A 40-year-old man was also found injured and taken to hospital, the Metropolitan Police said.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
