The premise of watching people watching TV didn't sound that exciting, but Channel 4's 'Gogglebox' became a surprise hit in 2013. The show sees the cameras allowed into living rooms across Britain, as couples, families and friends give their opinions on the week's television. It has made household names out of its cast including Steph and Dom Parker, Leon and June Bernicoff, friends Sandy and Sandra, Chris and Stephen and Jenny and Lee, Scarlett Moffatt and families like the Gilbeys, the Woerdenwebers, the Malones, the Michaels, the Tappers and the Siddiquis. After earning an army of more than four million fans, 'Gogglebox' has also gone on to win the BAFTA for Reality & Constructed Factual Programme in 2014, and also won two National Television Awards for Best Factual Show in 2015 and 2016.
