It’s been a week of tiers and fears, but there was still plenty of joy to be found in the world of entertainment. Gemma Collins gave us serious I’m A Celebrity deja vu as she had an encounter with a polar bear and the voice of Peppa Pig shocked fans as she changed lanes with a role in Netflix’s The Haunting Of Bly Manor. Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi did not hold anything back in his latest Instagram story and it was also 20 years since one of the most memorable – and mortifying – awards show moments ever.
This week, there were plenty of moments to keep us laughing, from Mariah Carey rewriting history in her new autobiography to Jane Fonda’s unique way of encouraging people to vote. Meanwhile, Katie Price unveiled a new tattoo of partner Carl Woods’ face (!!), Glenn Close got creative on Instagram and can we please take a second to talk about Lenny Kravitz on the cover of Men’s Health?
There were laughs aplenty this week, as 81-year-old Iris returned to This Morning with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Piers Morgan’s Spitting Image puppet was unveiled – and he was not a fan – Gordon Ramsay’s son showed just how much he’s like his father and the Great British Bake Off was back to its innuendo-filled best.
There’s no denying it, it’s been A. Week. But among all the doom and gloom, there was plenty of fun stuff to see us through thanks to the world of entertainment. We’re celebrating Schitt’s Creek storming “The Pandemmys”, Emily Maitlis’ hellish gaffe on Newsnight and Matt Lucas’ hilarious Bake Off debut. Plus, there’s new music from Kylie Minogue and find out why Roman Kemp could be the next Harry Styles.
As excitement for the SM:TV special builds, there’s nostalgia in the air as the team remembers the glory days of Saturday morning kids telly.
