On 18 December, a homeless man was found unresponsive in an underpass near the House of Parliament. Later that night, he died in hospital. He had been living rough for months, sleeping near Westminster station, and just steps away from the seat of government. It is the second time a homeless person has died in that spot this year.
Over 123,000 children live in temporary accommodation.

A new report from youth homeless charity Centrepoint reveals that 18,000 people between the ages of 16 and 25 are homeless or at risk from homelessness.
