A baby humpback whale has been rescued after becoming trapped in nets off the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Incredible footage of the event shows the calf’s mother watching on as authorities took three hours to complete the rescue.
A report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has found that climate change is “disturbing” the functioning of the planet’s two large-scale system - the cryosphere and the oceans. The panel has called the consequences of continuing emissions “sweeping and severe”.
