Pawel Adamowicz died from the wounds inflicted by a 27-year-old man who stormed the stage in Gdansk

The mayor of Gdansk Pawel Adamowicz has died after being stabbed at a charity event. The long-time mayor was standing on stage when a man rushed towards him and stabbed him with a knife. The suspect is reported to have shouted that he spent five years in prison because of the mayor’s former political party, Civic Platform. The man has been detained.

A Polish climber might have been expecting many things as he summited Rysy peak in the Tatra mountains in Poland. Incredible views and tired legs, maybe, but definitely not a cat. Local media has investigated but doesn't know if the cat belongs to anyone or how it got to the 8000ft summit.
