About Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford is one of the faces of the ITV daytime presenting team, hosting two of the channel's most popular shows, 'This Morning' and 'Loose Women'. After working as a regional newscaster, Ruth's big break in TV came when she became one of the original loose ladies when the lunchtime chat show launched in 1999. She quit the show in 2002, having been made a guest-presenter on 'This Morning' in 2000. Having started a relationship with 'GM:TV' host Eamonn Holmes, the pair took over presenting the show every Friday in 2006, when Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield cut back on their workloads. They have continued to front the Friday programmes and school holiday shows ever since, also marrying in 2010. In the same year, Ruth also staged a return to 'Loose Women', standing in as an anchor when the other women were unavailable. She later made a permanent return as the show's main anchor in 2014 as part of a major revamp, hosting alongside the likes of Coleen Nolan, Jamelia, Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter, Sherrie Hewson and Katie Price.
