About Susannah Reid
After an early career as a reporter on BBC Radio, Susanna Reid became a household name as one of the main presenters on BBC Breakfast. A little bit of luck paid a part in Susanna breaking into TV after she filled in for a missing presenter on BBC News 24, which turned into a permanent position after she impressed Beeb bosses and viewers alike. It led to her landing a spot on the BBC Breakfast sofa alongside Bill Turnbull in 2004 and was still there a decade later. Well, until ITV came knocking that is, who poached Susanna to co-host the revamp of Good Morning Britain, despite Susanna once claiming that she would never leave the BBC because it was 'in her blood'. The rumoured £1 million contract might have had something to do with her change of heart. Susanna's move to ITV came shortly after a hugely successful stint on the BBC dance show 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2013. Her partnership with professional dancer Kevin Clifton wowed the judges and viewers alike who voted her through to the grand final. She eventually came third behind Coronation Street actress Natalie Gumede and model Abbey Clancy, who was crowned Strictly champ.
