The Queen refused help while planting a tree when she visited the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge to celebrate its centenary. The 93-year-old planted the tree to mark the occasion. She also viewed an exhibition celebrating 100 years of crop research and toured the glasshouse as well.
The Queen visited Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh on 4 July. Her Majesty met officials from the farm before viewing the gardens, where she spoke to staff and was joined along the way by Olive the very confident duck.
“We love the kids. The worst part of the job is letting them go.”

Queen Elizabeth visited Sainsbury’s to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the second largest British supermarket. She visited a pop-up replica of the original store in Covent Garden and was amused by how self-service tills work. Sainsbury’s was founded on London's Drury Lane in 1869.
