A large tiger was found in a home in Houston, Texas, after people went in the property to smoke cannabis. The tiger was later taken into care by a wildlife sanctuary. Although it is legal to own a tiger in Texas, it is illegal to do so in the state's most populous city, Houston.

Three rare white Bengal tigers were born at a safari park in Crimea. Tigers are endangered, with poaching, deforestation and over-hunting of their natural prey making it hard for them to survive in the wild. These white tigers are purposefully bred from a line of tigers with the recessive gene needed to give them their white fur.

Zoo Keepers at Chessington World of Adventures Resort have been using FaceTime to communicate with four endangered Amur tigers, Olga, Tsar, Kalinka and Kyra, that are soon to make the move from their current home in Sweden to the Surrey zoo.
